The local government of pasig has completed the purchase of electric minibus vehicles for a total cost of almost PHP20M, estimated at almost PHP4M per unit. Under the supervision of the City Transportation Development and Management Office (Pasig Transport), the new vehicles will be deployed as part of the Free Ride Program. The said e-buses have a seating capacity of 22 and can carry an additional 8 standing passengers per trip. The inauguration ceremony of five electric minibuses for the Free Ride Program of the Pasig City Government was held morning of March 23, 2026, after the weekly flag raising ceremony. Mayor Vico Sotto, Congressman Romulo, Vice Mayor Jaworski, and members of the 12th Sangguniang Panlungsod joined the activity. In his message, Mayor Vico Sotto shared that the availability of public electric vehicles is timely because it will truly help Pasigueños, amidst the oil crisis.
