Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Citizens for Good Governance Transparency and Accountability Portal ("C4GG TAP"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the platform. We may modify these terms at any time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate the platform (sockpuppeting) is prohibited.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. User Contributions

• You retain ownership of all content you submit to C4GG TAP, including deeds, comments, evidence, and other contributions.
• By submitting content, you grant C4GG TAP a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and make your content available on the platform.
• All submitted content must be factual, evidence-based, and comply with our Submission Guidelines.
• You represent that you have the right to submit any content you provide, including evidence files and images.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following:

• Harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation of other users or officials
• Submitting spam, promotional content, or irrelevant material
• Knowingly submitting false, misleading, or fabricated information
• Impersonating another person or organization
• Circumventing moderation actions or content restrictions
• Automated scraping, bot access, or unauthorized data collection
• Attempting to exploit vulnerabilities in the platform
• Any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations

5. Content Moderation

• We reserve the right to review, hide, archive, or remove any content at our discretion to maintain platform quality and safety.
• Reputation penalties may be applied for guideline violations, including point deductions for rejected submissions.
• Users may appeal moderation decisions by contacting moderators through the platform.
• Content that receives multiple reports from the community is automatically flagged for moderator review.

6. Reputation System

• Reputation points are earned through legitimate participation, including submitting deeds, voting, commenting, and receiving community recognition.
• Manipulation of the reputation system — including coordinated voting rings, sockpuppet accounts, or abuse of the awards system — will result in reputation penalties and potential account suspension.
• Higher reputation levels unlock increased rate limits but do not confer moderation privileges.

7. Intellectual Property

• The C4GG TAP platform source code is licensed under the MIT License.
• User-submitted content remains the intellectual property of its respective authors.
• The C4GG TAP name, logo, and branding are the property of Citizens for Good Governance and may not be used without permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

C4GG TAP is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any user-submitted content. C4GG TAP is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform or reliance on information found on it. Users are responsible for verifying information independently.

9. Termination

• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in prohibited conduct, or abuse the platform.
• You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.
• Upon account termination, your personal information will be removed, but previously published content may be retained in anonymized form.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from or related to the use of C4GG TAP shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Philippines.
