My distrust is not based on a single issue, but on a pattern of governance that I find deeply concerning: Integrity and Substance Abuse Allegations: The persistent, high-level allegations regarding drug use are damaging to the dignity of the presidency. While these have been denied, the lack of a transparent, independent, and conclusive investigation leaves a cloud of doubt that fundamentally undermines public trust in the executive branch. Infrastructure and Disaster Management: The state of our flood control systems remains a glaring failure. Despite massive budget allocations, the lack of long-term, science-based flood mitigation strategies continues to leave millions of Filipinos vulnerable to recurring disasters, suggesting either gross incompetence or the mismanagement of public funds. Perceived Weakness in Leadership: A president must be a decisive figure who commands both local and international respect. I view the current administration’s foreign policy and domestic decision-making as reactive rather than proactive, projecting a brand of leadership that lacks the strength and clarity needed to protect our national sovereignty and economic interests. Credibility and Qualifications: The controversies surrounding the President’s educational background and historical record are not trivial. These issues speak to the character and intellectual integrity expected of a head of state. A leader's past is the strongest indicator of their commitment to truth and transparency
