Jose Paolo M. Evangelista

Jose Paolo Evangelista is a Filipino lawyer and politician currently serving as the Mayor of Kidapawan City. Elected in 2022 and reelected in 2025, he previously worked as a city legal officer and law professor. He earned his nursing and law degrees from Ateneo de Davao University, graduating with honors. As mayor, he promotes transparency and good governance, including reforms such as a “No Gift Policy” and open procurement processes. He is associated with Mayors for Good Governance, a coalition of local chief executives advocating accountability and ethical leadership in the Philippines.
