Johnny Flores Bacongallo is a long-serving local government leader in Patnongon, Antique, who has spent more than a decade as Municipal Mayor. He first assumed the mayoralty following the death of Mayor Orlando S. Flores and was formally elected in 2013. He secured re-election in 2016 and again in 2025, making him the incumbent mayor as of early 2026 and widely regarded as the municipality’s longest-serving mayor. Over the years, leadership in Patnongon has often alternated between Bacongallo and his daughter, Evohn Nee B. Baldestamon, reflecting a sustained family presence in the town’s top posts and a pattern of political continuity. His tenure, however, has not been without controversy. In 2023, the Sandiganbayan convicted him in connection with a rice mill transfer case dating back to 2007–2008. Despite legal challenges, he has remained a central and influential figure in Patnongon’s political life.
Served in 2 positions across Executive and Legislative branches since 2010
