Q City Bus Program
Josefina Belmonte Alimurung • Mayor of Quezon City • Dec 7, 2020
Launched initially in December 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Q City Bus Program was created by Mayor Joy Belmonte to address the shortage of public transportation and provide a safe, reliable commuting option for residents. Because of its massive success and socio-economic benefits, it has since become a permanent fixture in Quezon City’s public transport system. The program's primary goal is to offer free, comfortable, and efficient rides to QCitizens, helping them save money on daily commuting expenses which they can instead redirect to basic necessities like food and electricity while simultaneously reducing traffic congestion on city roads.
