Description

Mandates free, basic immunization for all children up to five years old in the Philippines. Passed on June 21, 2011, this law repealed PD 996 and aims to reduce vaccine-preventable diseases, including tuberculosis, Hepatitis-B, diphtheria, and measles. Unlike the earlier law it replaced, RA 10152 does not contain specific penal provisions for parents who fail to have their children vaccinated. Filed under Senate Bill No. 138, 15th Congress of the Republic and sponsored thru Committees on Health and Demography and Finance by Senator Pia Cayetano via Senate Committee Report No. 3, 15th Congress.
